Konami's Subtle Tease Regarding MGS4

In an interview with IGN, Konami producer Noriaki Okamura acknowledged the considerable fan interest in seeing MGS4 on modern platforms (PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC). While remaining officially silent on concrete plans, Okamura's comments strongly suggest the possibility of an MGS4 remake or port within Master Collection Vol. 2. He stated that Konami is "internally concerned about what we should be doing for the future of the series," hinting at active consideration of MGS4's future.

The possibility of an MGS4 remake is further fueled by previous reports of placeholder buttons for MGS4, MGS5, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker appearing on Konami's official timeline. IGN also reported these titles as potential candidates for Master Collection Vol. 2. Adding to the intrigue, David Hayter, the English voice actor for Solid Snake, hinted at involvement in an MGS4-related project last year.
