*League of Legends* has introduced an exciting new minigame in its client, available until the end of April. If you're familiar with *Balatro*, you'll find the gameplay of Demon’s Hand card game in *League of Legends* quite intuitive.

League of Legends Demon’s Hand Set-Up and Getting Started

First, ensure your *League* client is updated to the latest version. Once updated, click the Play button to access the game type menu and select Demon’s Hand. This will launch the introduction to the story mode, leading you directly into your first round of the card game.

On your screen, your hand is displayed in the bottom row of cards. In the bottom right corner, you'll find your health, coins, and percent crit chance. Just above, there's your Sigil box, which can hold up to six active Sigils, though you'll start with none. Remember, your health doesn't regenerate after each battle. To restore health, you'll need to visit tent locations on the map, which will replenish a percentage of your health.

The enemy is represented by the card at the top of the screen, with its health shown in the bottom right and damage in the bottom left. To the left of the enemy card, you'll see an attack coin indicating how many hands you can play before the enemy attacks. On the left edge of the screen, there's a book that lists all possible attack hands and their base damage in a standard round.

How To Play Demon’s Hand in League of Legends

To inflict damage, you'll play poker hands, albeit with different names in Demon’s Hand. The ultimate hand to aim for is The Demon’s Hand, which is equivalent to a royal flush. Here’s a breakdown of the hands you can play, along with their poker equivalents:

  • Solo = High Card (10 Base Damage)
  • Dyad = Pair (20 Base Damage)
  • Dyad Set = Two Pair (40 Base Damage)
  • Triad = Three of a Kind (80 Base Damage)
  • Tetrad = Four of a Kind (100 Base Damage)
  • March = Straight (125 Base Damage)
  • Horde = Flush (175 Base Damage)
  • Grand Warhost = Full House (400 Base Damage)
  • Marching Horde = Straight Flush (600 Base Damage)
  • The Demon’s Hand = Royal Flush (2000 Base Damage)

In addition to the base damage, the numerical value of each card is added to the total damage. If the enemy has a special ability that negates a specific suit, cards of that suit will be crossed out. You can still play them, but their numerical value won't contribute to the damage.

Spice Up Your Attacks with Sigils

Sigils are another key element of the game, purchased during store phases, which are indicated by coins on the map. You earn coins by defeating enemies, and these can be used to buy Sigils. Each Sigil offers a unique ability, visible when you hover over them in the store or during a round. Some Sigils enhance specific hands, like boosting the damage of Dyads, while others might grant you extra turns before the enemy attacks or reduce the damage you receive.

This guide covers everything you need to know to play the Demon’s Hand card game in *League of Legends*. If this minigame isn't your cup of tea, don't miss out on the upcoming April Fools skins, adding fun and flair to your gameplay in Summoner’s Rift.
