Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 offers a wealth of side quests, many providing deeper character insights. This guide details how to start and complete the "Bad Blood" quest.
Once free to explore the Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 world, progress through the quest to find Mutt. An objective leads you to a clearing near Bozhena's hut. Henry will suggest checking with Bozhena.
Speak to Bozhena about Mutt; she'll reveal her daughter Pavlena is missing. Agree to help, and "Bad Blood" begins.
First, go to Troskowitz and speak with Bailiff Thrush, then Innkeeper Betty. Learn about Bozhena and Pavlena, and their strained relationship with the village.
Next, talk to Woodcutter Dushko. He'll direct you to Roman's house (you'll need lockpicks). Search Roman's house, examine Pavlena's basket, and speak again with Dushko for further clues. He'll lead you to a clearing, a favorite spot for the couple.
From Roman's house, follow the objective marker downhill to the stream. Turn left at the large boulders to find a blood trail leading to Roman's body. Continue upwards and speak with Hogerd Hugo, then return to the Troskowitz farm and speak with Hired Hand Straw.
A successful dialogue check with Straw reveals information about Jakesh and the events surrounding Roman and Pavlena. You can also speak with Thrush to decide how to handle Straw. Afterwards, head to the rocks south of Zhelejov.
Navigate around the large boulder to find a path. Climb the ladder to find Ota and Pavlena. High Charisma is needed for successful dialogue. These options will convince Ota to release Pavlena:
Pavlena will kill Ota after his release. Speak with Pavlena and return to Bozhena. Bozhena will then request you kill Jakesh.
You can kill Jakesh or seek peace. Find Jakesh at his child's grave. You can kill him, talk to him, or even kill Bozhena to end the quest. The quest concludes regardless of your choice. In my playthrough, killing Jakesh and reporting to Bozhena yielded a reward.
Killing Jakesh lowers your reputation in Troskowitz but significantly increases it with Bozhena and Pavlena. You unlock a new dialogue option with Pavlena and receive a necklace—a gift from Roman.
Sparing Jakesh and making peace earns you 100 groschen from Jakesh. You can keep the money or tell Bozhena, who will share it. Bozhena and Pavlena will be allowed back into the settlement.
