Infinity Nikki and its much-anticipated 1.5 update have finally arrived on Steam, but they've been met with a flurry of controversy. Infold Games' stylish dress-up adventure, which had been exclusive to the Epic Game Store for months, was expected to be a cause for celebration among fans. However, the launch was overshadowed by a series of technical glitches, unexpected design changes, and demanding outfit requirements. In response, the developers issued an apology and promised compensation, yet the battle for Infinity Nikki continues.

PC players eagerly awaited the Steam release of Infinity Nikki, but their excitement quickly turned to frustration as they encountered numerous technical issues, including crashes and general instability. While launch problems are not uncommon, the community's discontent extended beyond performance issues.

The introduction of two new five-star outfits, Snowbound Ballad and Undying Ember, each comprising 11 pieces, has raised eyebrows. Players now face the daunting task of up to 220 pulls to complete these sets, a significant increase from the usual requirements. This change was introduced without prior notice, sparking fears that future outfits might demand even more pieces.

Adding to the confusion, Infold extended the Crown of Miraland: Peak Arena event from two to three weeks. This sudden shift, coupled with ongoing technical issues and new monetization strategies, prompted a strong reaction from the Chinese player base. They took to the social media platform RedNote to voice their concerns, leading to a global movement urging players to boycott Infinity Nikki on Steam, leave negative reviews, and uninstall the game across all platforms.

"Holding back your pulls for a couple of days can help show we want IN to remain fun and fair for all players," said Reddit user kiaxxl in a call-to-action post. They emphasized the importance of the initial days in gauging the success of new content in gacha games, suggesting that a collective pause could send a powerful message to the game's developers.

The community's response has had an impact, with Infinity Nikki currently holding a "Mixed" rating on Steam as players leave warnings for potential newcomers to steer clear until their demands are met.

The backlash reached a tipping point, prompting Infold to release an apology letter across its official channels. The letter acknowledges the technical issues and promises improvements in communication about future adjustments. "Thank you again for your support," the message reads. "We know we still have shortcomings, but it's because of your companionship that Nikki can keep pushing the boundaries of imagination. Please give us another chance to let Nikki's starlight continue shining for all of us, ensuring our sincerity never fades."

Apology Letter Regarding Version 1.5 Gaming Experience

Dear Stylists,
Hope this message finds you well.

Infold's apology included plans to revert Mira Crown to end on May 16 and start the next season on the same day, along with compensation in the form of 10 Revelation Crystals, 10 Resonance Crystals, and 1200 Diamonds. While this is a step forward, it falls short of the comprehensive changes many players hoped for.

Some players view Infold's concessions as a victory, but concerns persist, particularly about the decision to maintain the 11-piece outfits. Despite promises of better communication, it seems that some five-star outfits will still require 11 parts.

I wish you would finally chance the drop rate.. it cant be that i need 200 pulls to get a 5star and then you drop like 5 banners within weeks?! Make the rate lower or give us more diamonds to be able to get crystals.. this is not fun!

While the community celebrates the swift response to their protests, the call to maintain pressure remains strong. "Think about it: CN players are pointing out that if we accept the 11-piece outfits and pity as it is, most new 5 stars will **be** 11 pieces," Reddit user EdensAsmr said. "Imagine if every new major update has two 11-piece 5-star banners? That means you have to save even more to be able to handle it, and 70-80 pulls per patch will **not** cut it."
