Way of the Hunter: Wild America is coming to mobile devices, bringing its expansive open-world hunting experience to smartphones and tablets. PC players will recognize the acclaimed gameplay, originally launched by Nine Rocks Games in August 2022.
While some graphical adjustments are expected given the limitations of mobile hardware compared to PCs, the core gameplay and all DLC will be included post-launch. Currently in beta, THQ Nordic and HandyGames plan a mobile release soon. A closed beta test signup is available via a form on their official X (formerly Twitter) account.
Way of the Hunter challenges players with realistic wildlife tracking and strategic hunting. Set in expansive open worlds inspired by the US and Europe, players explore a 55-square-mile hunting ground.
The game features authentic hunting weapons, from rifles to bows, and incorporates detailed tracking mechanics, including blood splatter analysis, to ensure successful hunts.
The game's ecosystem dynamically responds to player actions. Overhunting in one area will impact wildlife populations. An in-game economy allows players to sell harvested meat to purchase better equipment, hunting licenses, and taxidermy trophies for their lodge. Campaign and co-op modes are included, and the mobile version will offer full controller support.
