Hogwarts Legacy Switch Offers $10 Next-Gen Upgrade

The upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 release of Hogwarts Legacy delivers enhanced graphics, significantly reduced loading times, and introduces support for new mouse controls.

A new comparison trailer highlights a key improvement: seamless transitions in and out of areas like Hogsmeade, eliminating the loading screens present in the original version.

These enhancements extend further. The Switch 2 version offers improved frame rates, higher-resolution textures, better shadows, and richer color saturation throughout Hogwarts and its environs, as showcased in the trailer below:

The inclusion of mouse controls is particularly intriguing. While developer Warner Bros. has not yet detailed this feature, it opens possibilities for more precise spell-casting and navigation.

Following the upgrade path of other Switch titles, existing owners of the original Switch version can upgrade to this enhanced edition for a fee of $10.

Hogwarts Legacy is an immersive, open-world action RPG set in the wizarding world of the 1800s. Starting as a fifth-year student, you'll explore iconic locations, encounter magical creatures, brew potions, master spells, develop talents, and create your ideal witch or wizard. It launches for the Nintendo Switch 2 on the console's release date, June 5.
