Hades 2 Nears Full Release: "Closer to the Finish Line"

In a recent post on Twitter (X), Supergiant Games celebrated one year of Hades 2 in early access since its debut on May 6, 2024. The studio expressed gratitude to the community for their ongoing support and shared that the game is steadily advancing toward its full release.

The message reads: "It's been incredibly exciting and eye-opening as we've worked to realize the potential so many of you see in our game. Thank you for all your feedback and patience as we get closer to the finish line!"

Much like its critically acclaimed predecessor, Hades, which spent 22 months in early access before its complete launch, Hades 2 is following a similar development path. However, Supergiant aims to deliver the full version faster than before, with the game set to debut first as a launch title for the Nintendo Switch 2.

Coming First to Nintendo Switch 2

During one of Nintendo’s Creator’s Voice video features, Supergiant confirmed that Hades 2 will launch initially on the Nintendo Switch 2. With the console scheduled to release on June 5, players can anticipate the full version of Hades 2 arriving around that time.

As the long-awaited sequel to the beloved rogue-like dungeon crawler, Hades 2 continues the legacy of its award-winning predecessor. The developers noted that this marks Supergiant’s first-ever sequel, a project they approached with both "a great deal of fear and respect."
