Step 1: Catching the Goldenfish

The first step is catching the elusive Goldenfish. These creatures can often be found in pools of water within caves. Head to the Scarlet Forest in Area 6, and try your luck using either the Golden Bughead or Common Wood Minnow baits. The Fallow weather state provides the best chances for their appearance.

Step 2: Fishing for Favor

Next, tackle the quest requiring you to catch a Gravid Bowfin. This can be achieved in the Scarlet Forest base camp under the Plenty weather condition. Equip the Emerald Jitterbait and cast your line to successfully catch this fish.

Step 3: The Catch of a Lifetime!

Kanya will then assign a quest asking you to land a Whopper. Any sufficiently large fish will do, but a Tuna is recommended due to its size. Return to the Scarlet Forest, specifically Area 17, and head to the lake. Hook one of the larger fish and patiently reel it in to meet this challenge.

Step 4: Razzle Dazzle Quest

Navigate to the Scarlet Forest, Area 17, ensuring the weather conditions are either Downpour in Inclemency. Utilize the grill to wait for the ideal conditions or your camp to adjust them accordingly. Enter the lake’s deep end and locate squids swimming around. If none appear, fast travel to another area and return to encourage spawning.

Equip the Tentacle Jig provided by Kanya and start fishing. Although the quest demands the Grand Escunite, your true objective is the Goliath Squid. Focus on finding glowing blue shells.
