Path of Exile 2's Hidden Golden Idols: A Guide to Act 3's Secret Riches

Path of Exile 2 boasts numerous quests, but some remain elusive, never appearing in your quest log. This is true for the five Golden Idols scattered throughout Act 3. While labeled "Quest Items," they function differently than typical quest items. Unlike most, finding a Golden Idol doesn't trigger a new quest entry. Instead of advancing a questline, these unique items offer a substantial gold reward upon sale.

Locating the Golden Idols

After exploring the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment in Act 3, a portal transports you to the past, to the once-magnificent Vaal city of Utzaal (known as The Drowned City in the present). Explore Utzaal and the connected area of Aggorat to uncover these hidden treasures. They're not enemy drops; instead, they're found on the ground or on pedestals, often in secluded side rooms.

Cashing In Your Discoveries

Once you've collected a Golden Idol, return to the Ziggurat Encampment and seek out Oswald, located in the northern part of the area. He's the only vendor who will purchase these unique items. The payout for each idol is as follows:

• Golden Idol: 500 Gold
• Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
• Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
• Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
• Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold

Collecting all five idols nets you a hefty 6000 gold. Since they occupy inventory space and serve only as valuable trade goods, it's advisable to sell them immediately after discovery to maximize your bag space.
