Genshin Impact: Collecting Burning Firestones in The Flowing Primal Flame Quest

After assisting Bona in purging the Abyssal Corruption from the Chu'ulel Light Core in Genshin Impact, players are tasked with helping her find the Primal of Flame. Once located, Travelers must offer two Pyrophosphorites to the Altar of Primal of Flame, which they should have gathered during the Palace of the Vision Serpent Quest. This offering paves the way to reach Tonatiuh, which hovers above Ochkanatlan’s Cradle of Fleeting Dreams fortress. Upon reaching the floating island, players will complete the To the Sky-Road Quest and kick off The Other Side of the Sky Quest, where the next goal is to gather four Burning Firestones to secure the Jade of Return.

How to Collect the Four Burning Firestones in Genshin Impact

Burning Firestone Location #1

To secure the first Burning Firestone in Tonatiuh, follow these steps:

• Arrive at Tonatiuh.
• After the cutscene with Bona concludes, the Little One will pick up the first Burning Firestone.
• Accompany the Little One to the bridge.
• Activate the mechanism beside the bridge to lift it, allowing the Little One to cross.
• Interact with the little Saurian.
• Engage in conversation with Bona.
• Sit through another cutscene.

Burning Firestone Location #2

The second Burning Firestone awaits on the northeastern island. Here's how to obtain it:

• Turn the mechanism on the right floating island.
• Turn the mechanism on the left floating island.
• Head east over the newly extended bridge.
• Elevate the lift.
• Trail the Little One to the second Burning Firestone.
• Pick up the Genshin Impact Common chest you encounter.
• Trigger the mechanism to the right of the Firestone spot.
• Ascend the platforms that appear to reach the upper floor.
• Defeat the enemy guarding the area.
• Claim the Exquisite chest atop the tower.
• Operate the mechanism behind it to unlock the gate.
• Descend to where the little Saurian is.
• Unlock the door.
• Ask the Little One, “Let’s return to the altar!”
• Make your way back to the Altar of Primal of Flame.

Burning Firestone Location #3

To retrieve the third Burning Firestone in Tonatiuh, follow these steps:

• Rotate the mechanism on the right floating island.
• Rotate the mechanism on the northern floating island.
• Cross the bridge to the northern island's lower level.
• Follow the Little One.
• Observe the Secret Source Sentinel as it takes the third Burning Firestone to the southwestern Isle.
• Head to the northwestern edge.
• Transform into a Qucusaurus.
• Fly towards the Pyroculus in Genshin Impact.
• Activate the mechanism inside the tower.
• Transform back into a Qucusaurus.
• Fly up to the newly unlocked door.
• Use the elevator to return to the upper floor.
• Interact with the little Saurian.
• Follow it.
• Activate the Lift.
• Proceed to the Altar of Primal of Flame.

Burning Firestone Location #4

The final Burning Firestone is situated on the upper level of the northwestern island. To collect it:

• Traverse the northwestern bridge.
• Request Bona to tilt the bridge upward.
• Leap and glide to the northern island's upper level.
• Lower the Lift.
• Follow the Little One.
• Ask it to “Let’s return to the altar!”
• Vanquish the enemy that appears with a well-prepared team in Genshin Impact.
• Ask the Saurian again to return to the Altar.
• Collect the Precious chest.
• Head to the Altar of Primal of Flame.

Once all four Burning Firestones are gathered and offered at the Altar of Primal of Flame, players will complete The Flowing Primal Flame Quest in Genshin Impact. A subsequent cutscene will show the fire transforming the Jade of Return into a Golden Entreaty.

The Dragon of the City of Flowing Ash will then make an appearance, disrupting the journey yet again. Follow the Taunted One to the Nursery of Nightmares island to finish The Other Side of the Sky Quest in Genshin Impact and earn 50 Primogems.
