Fortnite Hunters has kicked off Chapter 6 with an explosive start, introducing players to an expansive map to explore, the introduction of formidable Oni Masks and Typhoon Blades, and exciting bosses to challenge. As the season unfolds, a plethora of new content is being revealed, enriching the game with unique items and additional features.

With Winterfest now behind us, Fortnite Hunters has rolled out its first significant update, reintroducing some beloved items from Chapter 4. While the Kinetic Blade might catch the eye of some, the Lock On Pistol is generating buzz among players for its ability to help land shots with precision.

How To Get The Lock On Pistol

The Lock On Pistol, a weapon of Rare rarity in Fortnite, can be discovered as floor loot or found within chests. While its rarity means it shouldn't be too elusive, players might need to open numerous chests to secure one.

Alternatively, players can increase their chances of obtaining the Lock On Pistol by fishing at designated Fishing Spots with a Fishing Rod. These spots are known to have a higher probability of yielding Rare weapons, making it a viable strategy for finding this sought-after item.

How To Use The Lock On Pistol

The Lock On Pistol operates much like other pistols in Fortnite, functioning as a semi-automatic weapon with a damage output of 25 per shot. Its unique Lock-On feature sets it apart, enabling players to aim down sights and see a targeting circle around their reticle. As long as an enemy remains within this circle, every shot fired will hit the target, regardless of whether they're gliding through the air or concealed in bushes—provided they're not behind cover.

However, the Lock-On feature is effective only within a 50-meter range, necessitating close proximity to the target. While the pistol can be used in a "spray and pray" manner when fired from the hip, this approach won't leverage its primary Lock-On advantage.
