Explore Spider-Woman's Origins in New Marvel Contest of Champions Update

April is set to be an exciting month for Marvel Contest of Champions fans, with the introduction of the new champion, Spider-Woman. Born as Jessica Drew, her journey to becoming Spider-Woman is a compelling one. As a child, she was exposed to uranium near her home, which led to severe illness. Her father, a brilliant geneticist, attempted to save her by injecting her with a serum derived from spider DNA. After a long recovery, Jessica not only overcame the adverse effects but also gained extraordinary spider powers, ultimately becoming the hero known as Spider-Woman. You can add this new champion to your roster starting April 17th.

Before Spider-Woman makes her entrance, another champion, Lumatrix, will join the fray on April 9th. Designed by the Founders, Lumatrix is a formidable assassin with the ability to infiltrate and eliminate targets using dazzling light powers.

What Else Is New?

The narrative in Marvel Contest of Champions continues to evolve with the release of Act 9 Chapter 2: Inquisition. This chapter follows Carina's harrowing encounter with Ouroborus forces, leaving her severely injured. Meanwhile, Doctor Doom is forging an alliance with the Fantastic Four to combat the spreading corruption of the Chronoserpent. A new villain, Lotan, also enters the fray, adding another layer of intrigue.

Starting April 9th and running until May 7th, a new Event Quest titled Spy Games will launch. Black Widow is on a mission to unravel the mystery of the Eidols and has enlisted Spider-Woman's help in this endeavor.

Dark Phoenix returns in the Side Quest with Dark Bounties, challenging players to hunt down champions with bounties on their heads for valuable rewards.

The Incursions: Dark Phoenix Saga Sector is making a comeback, offering players a chance to use their strongest Saga champions to earn Dark Plumes, Light Essence, Tier 7 Basic Fragments, and 7-Star Class Signature Stones.
