In a heartfelt tribute, Bethesda's highly anticipated The Elder Scrolls 6 will honor a beloved fan by immortalizing them as an in-game character, following a remarkable charity drive that raised over $85,000 for Make-A-Wish.
Spearheaded by the team behind the leading lore wiki The Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages (UESP), the campaign ensures former member Loranna Pyrel will live on in The Elder Scrolls 6. Pyrel created a forum-based roleplaying series inspired by Bethesda's games, which later influenced the creative work of series writer Ted Peterson.
Previously, fans attempted to secure Pyrel's inclusion through a Bethesda-organized silent auction for Make-A-Wish, only to be narrowly outbid by an anonymous party at the last moment.
Following this outcome, Bethesda agreed to make an exception, granting the UESP community a second chance—provided they matched the auction's winning bid of $85,450. Thanks to generous contributions from Elder Scrolls creators, the UESP team, and the fan resource The Imperial Library, they have now successfully reached that goal.
"It's almost surreal that we've come this far," the UESP shared in an Instagram post. "What began as a casual idea about collaborating evolved into this incredible community effort. We're thrilled to bring this character to life in TES6.
"We can’t imagine a more fitting tribute to Loranna’s impact on both the Elder Scrolls community and its lore than this charity initiative, which simultaneously enriches the game's official story."
We just finished up a meeting with Bethesda where we got to design a character for The Elder Scrolls 6. Honestly, a lot of us went into the meeting pretty nervous and even reserved, but now we're all extremely excited for what's in store. pic.twitter.com/8493WN6CBB

In a follow-up X post today, the UESP confirmed they had just concluded a meeting with Bethesda regarding their The Elder Scrolls 6 character, expressing that everyone left feeling "extremely excited for what's in store."
As for the actual release window of The Elder Scrolls 6, details remain uncertain. Bethesda first unveiled the game with a teaser trailer at E3 2018—a staggering seven years ago. The studio later confirmed the title entered "early development" in August 2023, with "early builds" becoming available by March 2024. When the project’s six-year announcement anniversary arrived last June, even Bethesda development chief Todd Howard acknowledged, "oh wow, that has been a while."
