EA Launches Playtest for Sims Spinoff, City Life Game with Friends

Electronic Arts, known as EA, is currently conducting an exclusive playtest for their exciting new game, City Life Game with Friends, on Android devices. This playtest is a segment of EA's broader initiative, The Sims Project Rene, aimed at collecting valuable feedback on game performance and player interaction. If you're an Android user eager to dive into this urban adventure, here's everything you need to know.

Where Is the City Life Game with Friends Playtest Available?

The City Life Game with Friends playtest is exclusively available on Android devices. Your phone must be running at least Android 12 and have a minimum of 4GB of RAM to participate. However, the playtest is not open to everyone and is limited to specific regions.

The playtest period is set to end on April 4th, 2025, with varying end times based on your location: 7 PM UTC, 6 AM AEST in Australia, and 3 AM PHT in the Philippines. Once the playtest concludes, you'll need to uninstall the game from your device.

Keep in mind that this is not a final product but rather an experimental phase where EA is exploring various concepts for The Sims Project Rene. It offers a glimpse into the potential future direction of the game.

What’s in Store?

Upon joining the playtest, you'll have the opportunity to craft a character that embodies your unique style and personality. The game's vibrant neighborhood is brimming with activities. You can browse for new outfits at the Thrift Shop, relax at the Café, or contribute to community events.

Collaborate with other players to organize block parties, make wishes at the plaza fountain, and embark on quests to find hidden collectibles. The game encourages social engagement and community building through shared interests in art, music, and engaging conversations.

If you're intrigued by this opportunity, head over to the Google Play Store to participate, provided you're in one of the designated playtest regions. If you're not eligible, stay tuned for our next update on Bandai Namco's decision to discontinue PAC-MAN Mobile as it celebrates its 45th anniversary.
