Donkey Kong Hits Switch 2 Soon

Nintendo has unveiled Donkey Kong Bananza, an exciting new 3D platformer exclusive to the Switch 2, launching on July 17, 2025 with a $69.99 price tag.

During the Nintendo Direct presentation, the company showcased the game's debut trailer alongside this official description:

Prepare for Donkey Kong Bananza – a revolutionary 3D platforming adventure designed exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2. Smash through obstacles, scale destructible environments, and reshape the battlefield by wrenching chunks of terrain to swing or throw. Every devastating punch unlocks new areas to explore in this chaos-filled journey packed with surprises and... of course, bananas. The adventure begins when Donkey Kong Bananza arrives on July 17.

The Nintendo Switch 2 console will debut earlier on June 5, 2025, priced at $449.99.

For $499.99, the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle offers the console plus a digital copy of Mario Kart World, available at launch. Sold separately, Mario Kart World retails for $79.99 – making it Nintendo's priciest Switch title to date.
