Season 2 of *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* has officially launched today, bringing with it a feature that's set to revolutionize the way players approach their progression grind: the Camo Challenge Tracking feature. Here's a comprehensive guide on how to make the most of this exciting new addition.
The latest patch notes for *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* introduce the Camo Challenge Tracking feature, described as: “The Challenge Tracker makes it easy for players to manually track up to 10 Camo and 10 Calling Card Challenges they’re actively working toward, but there’s another element of this system that we think players will find useful on the journey to Dark Matter, Nebula, and 100 Percenter: Near Completion.” This feature allows you to keep a close eye on your progress towards unlocking those coveted camos and calling cards, making it easier than ever to achieve your goals.
With the new Camo Challenge Tracking, you can manually select up to 10 camos to monitor, allowing you to view your progress in real-time during gameplay, without the need to navigate through menus. Additionally, the system notifies you when you're close to completing challenges, even if they're not among the ones you've chosen to track. This is a game-changer for players aiming to unlock Dark Matter, Nebula, and 100 Percenter camos.

To start tracking a specific challenge, navigate to the Camo or Calling Card challenge you want to monitor. Press the Y button on your Xbox controller or the Triangle button on your PlayStation controller to add the challenge to your tracker. This way, you can check your progress on various camos and calling cards during live matches, rather than waiting until the end to see what you need to do next.
Even if you don't manually select a challenge to track, the game will automatically populate your tracker with the challenges you're closest to completing. This feature ensures that you're always aware of what you're about to unlock, making your progression journey smoother and more engaging.
You can also find the top tracked or near-complete camo and calling card challenges in the *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* lobby under the Daily Challenge section, providing a comprehensive overview of what's close to being unlocked.
The Season 2 update also makes the journey to unlocking special camos more manageable. Previously, you needed to unlock nine military camos to get a special camo, but now, that number has been reduced to five. However, to earn the mastery camos, you still need to unlock two special camos.
The community has been vocal about the challenge of tracking progress and earning the necessary headshots and kills to equip all the available camos. It's clear that Treyarch is listening to player feedback and implementing more efficient ways to earn and enjoy these coveted customization options in *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6*.
