Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is getting a much-requested feature: in-game challenge tracking. Treyarch Studios confirmed they're developing this functionality, absent from launch but present in 2023's Modern Warfare 3.
While a release date remains unannounced, the feature's arrival is anticipated soon, potentially coinciding with the Season 2 update later this month. This news follows a recent January 9th update addressing various Multiplayer and Zombies bugs and improvements, including a reversal of controversial Zombies changes after player feedback.
Challenge Tracking on the Way
Treyarch's Twitter response to fan inquiries confirmed the challenge tracking feature is "currently in the works." The absence of this feature in Black Ops 6, despite its presence in the linked Modern Warfare 3, caused significant disappointment among players. Its implementation will greatly benefit players striving for Mastery camos, providing real-time challenge progress updates within the game's UI, similar to Modern Warfare 3's system.
More Improvements Coming to Black Ops 6
Beyond challenge tracking, Treyarch also confirmed another highly requested feature is under development: separate HUD settings for Multiplayer and Zombies. This will eliminate the need for players to constantly adjust HUD settings when switching between game modes. This update, along with the challenge tracking feature, promises to significantly enhance the Black Ops 6 player experience.
