The Chainsaw Man movie was first announced in December 2023 and serves as a direct sequel to MAPPA's 2022 anime series. The story follows Denji, a young man granted a second chance at life after forming a pact with Pochita, the Chainsaw Devil. This deal grants him the power to manifest chainsaws from his body, transforming him from a mere Chainsaw Boy into something far greater.
"Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc" will introduce the pivotal manga character Reze to the anime. Directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara and written by Hiroshi Seko, the film features the return of the entire original voice cast.
