2K Games has confirmed that Borderlands 4 will launch at a $70 price point as preorders become available.
The pricing debate gained attention after Gearbox chief Randy Pitchford stirred controversy with his response to a fan concerned about potential $80 pricing. Pitchford's reply—"if you're a true fan, you'll make it work"—drew mixed reactions.
Pitchford later clarified his remarks in follow-up tweets, but 2K has now officially confirmed the standard edition's $69.99 pricing for Borderlands 4.
The game offers three editions: Standard, Deluxe, and Super Deluxe, all available for preorder ahead of the September 12, 2025, global release. Preorders include the Gilded Glory Pack, granting players a Vault Hunter Skin, Weapon Skin, and ECHO-4 Drone Skin.
Standard Edition ($69.99 / £59.99): Includes the base game for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam/Epic Games Store.
Deluxe Edition ($89.99 / £89.99): Adds the Bounty Pack Bundle, featuring four post-launch DLCs with new regions, missions, bosses, Vault Cards, gear, vehicles, and cosmetics—plus the Firehawk's Fury Weapon Skin.
Super Deluxe Edition ($119.99 / £119.99): Expands on the Deluxe content with the Vault Hunter Pack (two Story Packs, new playable hunters, maps, and gear) and the Ornate Order Pack (four extra skins, heads, and body cosmetics).
All editions launch simultaneously on September 12, 2025.
