The Quematrice, a large chicken-like monster reminiscent of a Cockatrice, primarily attacks with fire. While most weapons are effective against this mid-sized foe, its area-of-effect attacks might favor ranged weapons for less experienced hunters.

Notable Attacks to Avoid: While its tail swipes and strikes can inflict damage, the most potent attack is the tail slam. The Quematrice raises its tail high before slamming it down; sidestepping or blocking negates this attack. However, its fire attacks are the real threat, causing direct damage, burning effects (draining health), and even igniting the ground.

These fire attacks are somewhat unpredictable. One attack involves the Quematrice rearing its head, roaring, and flinging a flame from its tail.
