FortiToken Mobile is a mobile application generating one-time passwords (OTPs) for multi-factor authentication (MFA). This OATH-compliant app uses both time-based and event-based OTP generation methods. It's a key component of Fortinet's robust, user-friendly, and cost-effective MFA solution. For OTP validation, you'll need a compatible server or service such as FortiOS, FortiAuthenticator, or FortiToken Cloud.

Privacy and Security:

Rest assured, FortiToken Mobile respects your privacy and device control. It cannot access or modify sensitive areas of your phone, including:

• Camera (except for optional QR code scanning during token activation)
• Photos/Videos
• Audio recording/transmission
• Email access
• Browser history

It requires your explicit permission for notifications and any setting changes. Remote wiping of your device is not possible. Any information accessed is solely for verifying your OS version for compatibility. Sensitive data (like email addresses or token seeds) is only required during manual token setup, third-party token addition, or token transfers.

While FortiToken Mobile operates with minimal permissions, the following are necessary for functionality:

• Camera Access: Facilitates QR code scanning for streamlined token activation.
• TouchID/FaceID: Enhances app security.
• Internet Access: Enables token activation and push notification reception.
• Email Access (limited): Auto-populates the "Sender" field when sending feedback.
