Urshifu Debuts in Pokémon GO's Final Strike: GO Battle Week with Gigantamax Machamp

The Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO is drawing to a close, and the final week is set to be an epic showdown with the Final Strike: GO Battle Week, starting on May 21st, 2025, and lasting until May 27th. This thrilling conclusion aims to bring your Kubfu's journey to a triumphant end.

What’s in Store during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week?

After weeks of dedicated effort, it's time to witness the evolution of the determined Kubfu into the legendary Urshifu. This evolution comes in two distinct forms, each unlocked through specific battle achievements. To evolve Kubfu into the Single Strike style of Urshifu, set Kubfu as your buddy and defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For the Rapid Strike style, engage and defeat 30 Water-type Pokémon during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week.

In addition, a Special Research task will continue the season's storyline, available until June 3rd, 2025. This research offers rewards such as Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon like Charcadet, complete with a Special Background.

May 25th Is a Special Day

Mark your calendars for May 25th, as it's the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, you can participate in six-star Max Battles featuring the debut of Gigantamax Machamp. During this event, several bonuses will enhance your gameplay experience.

You'll need to travel only one-fourth the usual distance to earn Max Particles, and the storage cap for Max Particles will increase to 1,600. All Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles, and you'll receive 8× Max Particles from them during this period. Additionally, you'll be able to make two extra Special Trades.

Don't miss out on collecting Max Mushrooms, which temporarily double the damage output of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. You can use multiple mushrooms to extend the duration, though the power boost remains constant.
