Escape from Tarkov has just rolled out a significant update to version 0.16.0.0, and Battlestate Games has shared an extensive changelog detailing all the new features and bug fixes. Alongside this, a fresh trailer for Escape from Tarkov has been released, showcasing the exciting changes.
Battlestate Games has introduced a new event called Khorovod, which brings special tasks and rewards to the game. This event also features a unique Khorovod mode where players must light a Christmas tree and protect it. This mode is accessible at specific stages across six different locations, adding a festive twist to the gameplay.
A major new feature in this update is the introduction of Prestige mode, designed to keep the game engaging for those who enjoy grinding. Similar to the mechanics in Call of Duty, once players reach level 55, complete specific quests, and gather enough resources, they can opt to reset their character. This reset allows them to retain some equipment and earn rewards that are unaffected by wipes. These rewards include achievements, various cosmetics, and additional tasks. Initially, only two prestige levels are available, but Battlestate Games has promised to add eight more in the future, ensuring long-term engagement for dedicated fans.
Other notable changes in the 0.16.0.0 update include:
With this update, a standard wipe in Escape from Tarkov has occurred. Once the servers go live in a few hours, players will have a plethora of new content to explore and enjoy.
