Trainers, get ready! The new year in *Pokémon GO* is bringing a fresh wave of Pokémon, and Shroodle is the latest exciting addition. Unlike some recent Pokémon arrivals, catching this Toxic Mouse Pokémon isn't as simple as a wild encounter.
Shroodle, fresh from its debut in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, scurries into Pokémon GO on January 15th, 2025, as part of the Fashion Week: Taken Over event. But don't worry, after the event concludes, you'll still have a chance to add it to your collection.
For now, the answer is no. While Shroodle's arrival is exciting, its Shiny form isn't available at launch. Expect its shimmering variant to appear in a future event, possibly one focused on Poison-type Pokémon or Team GO Rocket.
Forget wild encounters; Shroodle is hatching exclusively from 12KM Eggs! Starting January 15th, at 12 AM local time, keep an eye out for these eggs. While its appearance rate might be higher during the Fashion Week: Taken Over event, it's expected to remain in the 12KM egg pool afterward.
12KM Eggs are a rare find, obtainable only by defeating Team GO Rocket Leaders (Sierra, Arlo, and Cliff) or Giovanni. The Fashion Week: Taken Over event is a great opportunity to stock up, as Team GO Rocket will be more active, making Rocket Radars easier to acquire. Remember, you can battle GO Rocket Grunts anytime to challenge the Leaders, provided you have space in your inventory.
Shroodle's evolution, Grafaiai, also debuts on January 15th. Unlike Shroodle, you won't find it in the wild or hatching from eggs. To get Grafaiai, you'll need to evolve your Shroodle using 50 Shroodle Candy. So, get those eggs hatching and make Shroodle your buddy to collect enough candy!
Pokémon GO is available now. Happy hunting, trainers!
