My interest in Pokemon TCG Pocket tends to ebb and flow. I get super engaged whenever a new set drops and continue playing as long as there are Emblems to earn after securing around 40 wins. Once that's done, my routine shifts to logging in, opening my daily packs, doing a Wonder Pick for fun, and then not thinking about it again until the next day. This cycle is set to restart with the arrival of the latest expansion, Shining Revelry, on March 27th.

Shining Revelry will bring 110 new cards to TCG Pocket, featuring a mix of new Ex Pokemon, Trainer cards, and those stunning art cards we've grown to adore. The most thrilling addition, hinted at by the expansion's name, is the inclusion of Shiny Pokemon! For those new to the concept, these are unique color variations of your beloved Pokemon. Imagine a yellow Lucario instead of blue, or a Pachirisu with a striking pink stripe.

The trailer, which you can view below, teases what's in store for us. A new Shiny Charizard Ex is set to debut with 180 HP and a powerful move called Steam Artillery, dealing 150 damage at the cost of five energy. Yes, five! But don't fret; its other move, Stoke, lets you attach three Fire Energy cards at once, making it easier to unleash that devastating attack.

Another highlight is the new Ex card for Lucario. Previously more of a support player in the Space-Time Smackdown expansion, this version of the Aura Pokemon is ready for frontline combat. While its 150 HP may not turn heads, its Aura Sphere attack could be a game-changer. For three Fighting Energy, it delivers 100 damage to the active Pokemon and an additional 30 to one of your opponent's Benched Pokemon.

The trailer also showcases other cards that, while not groundbreaking, are certainly noteworthy. Shiny versions of Wiglett, Pachirisu, and Varoom are coming, each looking spectacular. Additionally, there's a gorgeous Tatsugiri art rare that I'm determined to add to my digital collection.

Pokemon TCG Pocket is available for download on the App Store and Google Play, offering a free-to-play experience with optional in-app purchases. If you're interested, you can easily get it for your preferred platform using the buttons provided below.
