Where To Find the Sisters of Garukhan

The Sisters of Garukhan encounter appears twice: in Act 2 and Act 2 Cruel. Activating the shrine at each location grants the +10% Lightning Resistance bonus. Its subtle icon on the world map makes it easy to miss.

Due to PoE 2's randomly generated maps, the Sisters' precise location within the Spires of Deshar isn't fixed. However, they're always present on this map. Thoroughly explore the area until you find a shrine resembling the image above. Interaction with the shrine instantly awards the buff. Be prepared for combat; activating the shrine brings the surrounding metallic automatons to life. This triggers the entire map's automaton activation.

A helpful strategy: if you reach the exit checkpoint before finding the Sisters, use it to fast travel back to the shrine's vicinity, avoiding unnecessary combat.

Claiming the +10% Lightning Resistance Buff

The +10% Lightning Resistance is granted immediately upon interacting with the shrine. It's not a dropped item or a reward for defeating the automatons; it's automatically applied upon contact.

Remember, the Sisters of Garukhan appear in both Act 2 and Act 2 Cruel. Activating the shrine in both locations yields a total of +20% Lightning Resistance.

Troubleshooting: Why the Buff Isn't Showing

Many players find it confusing that even after activating the shrine, their resistance values might appear negative.

This is due to a game mechanic: completing each Act in PoE 2 applies a -10% debuff to all elemental resistances (Chaos Resistance remains unaffected). Therefore, after completing Act 1, activating the Sisters in Act 2 results in a net zero Lightning Resistance (buff cancels out the debuff). In Act 2 Cruel, the initial -40% debuff is reduced to -30% after activating the Sisters a second time.

To verify the buff's activation, remove all equipment and check your resistances in the endgame. A -40% elemental resistance value indicates that you've successfully obtained the buffs.
