Dungeonborne, the PvPvE action game reminiscent of Dark and Darker, is shutting down. Its creators have announced the end of support and the closure of servers, bringing a close to a project that lasted less than a year. Low player activity and a lack of substantial updates ultimately led to the game's demise.
While the Steam page remains accessible via direct link, it's no longer searchable on the platform. The official reason for the shutdown hasn't been publicly stated, but the extremely low player count is undoubtedly a major factor. Since late 2024, concurrent player numbers rarely exceeded 200, dwindling to a mere 10-15 players in recent days.
Dungeonborne's servers will permanently close on May 28th, marking the end of this short-lived but initially promising title. Despite initial interest from fans of the genre, the game will ultimately remain unrealized.
