The Iconic 'Time Machine' from Back to the Future Is Now Up for Grabs in CSR2

Zynga is thrilling fans by bringing a nostalgic blast to their popular game, Custom Street Racer 2 (CSR2), with an exciting crossover event celebrating the 40th anniversary of the iconic 1985 film, "Back to the Future," directed by Robert Zemeckis.

CSR2 Is Taking You Back to the Future

Starting today, players can collect and race the legendary DeLorean Time Machine from the first film. While it doesn't offer any performance boosts or special abilities, it's a fully drivable car that adds a unique touch to your garage. Beyond the car, CSR2 is rolling out a comprehensive Back to the Future-themed experience.

The crossover includes a custom in-game UI inspired by the film, a brand-new narrative, and multiple events. Players can participate in three flash events dedicated to the Time Machine, as well as a community competition. Zynga has confirmed that additional themed events will be released throughout the year, ensuring this is more than just a one-time update. Sadly, No Free Trips to 1955!

While the game won't let you travel to 1955 like in the movie or even in games like Reverse:1999, this CSR2 x Back to the Future collaboration is truly unique. The legendary gull-winged DeLorean from the first film is now drivable in-game, which is exciting in itself.

Sam Cooper, Zynga's Vice President of Games, emphasized the uniqueness of this collaboration, calling the Time Machine one of the most recognizable and beloved picture cars in history. He expressed excitement about allowing players to virtually race the car while celebrating the movie's milestone anniversary.
