How To Unlock the Photograph Emote (Patch 7.18) in Final Fantasy XIV

Through an official collaboration with Fujifilm's Instax, the lightweight Patch 7.18 introduces a new free emote for all players. The "Photograph" emote lets your character simulate taking instant photos anywhere in Eorzea.

Unlike other emotes typically locked behind quests or purchases, the "Photograph" emote appears automatically in your Emote menu after downloading the latest update. No level requirements or expansion purchases are necessary.

How To Use the Photograph Emote in FFXIV

To use this emote, navigate to the "Social" tab and select "Photograph" under the "General" emotes. Your character will pull out a Fujifilm-style instant camera - consider favoriting it for quick access.

Though not a continuous emote, it adapts to different environments including underwater areas and mounted positions (both ground and flying). It creates fun photo opportunities throughout Eorzea.

Patch 7.18 serves as the final update before the substantial Patch 7.2 releases in late March, featuring new dungeons, Cosmic Exploration, and a return to the Arcadion.
