A new trailer for the highly anticipated TV series, Alien: Earth, has surfaced online, giving fans an exhilarating sneak peek at what's to come. The trailer, initially showcased at Disney's 2025 Annual Meeting of Shareholders, was shared on the @CineGeekNews X/Twitter account, revealing a gripping scene of survivors from a Xenomorph-ravaged spaceship heading towards Earth.

The trailer not only introduces a fresh Xenomorph design but also showcases an aesthetic remarkably reminiscent of Ridley Scott’s iconic 1979 horror film. The setting inside a MU/TH/UR control room strikingly mirrors the Nostromo’s, intensifying the connection to the original film. Here, a desperate crew member is seen pleading for help, banging on a sealed door as the Xenomorph advances. Meanwhile, Morrow, portrayed by Babou Ceesay, seems indifferent, reporting that the "specimens are loose" and declaring the crew dead, before setting the ship's impact point as Earth. We then witness six soldiers advancing towards what appears to be the crashed ship, hinting at ominous encounters ahead.

The trailer raises numerous intriguing questions: Will Morrow survive? What drives him? Are there any other surviving crew members, and could any be carrying a Xenomorph embryo? How will the soldiers meet their fate?

Alien: Earth sets the stage for a thrilling narrative where a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth. The story follows a young woman, played by Sydney Chandler, and a group of tactical soldiers as they uncover a discovery that pits them against the planet's most formidable threat.

PlaySet in the year 2120, **FX’s Alien series** unfolds just after the events of *Prometheus* and two years before the original *Alien* and the tragic fate of the Nostromo crew. This timeline has sparked speculation that **Alien: Earth** might explore the Nostromo's departure from Earth or reveal how the nefarious Weyland-Yutani corporation first learned about the Xenomorphs. Notably, the recently released interquel, **Alien: Romulus**, bridges the gap between *Alien* and *Aliens*.

In January of last year, showrunner Noah Hawley shed light on his decision to steer Alien: Earth away from the backstory established in Prometheus. Hawley, a fan of the "retro-futurism" seen in the original films, consulted with Ridley Scott on various elements of the Alien franchise, including its prequel connections. However, he ultimately chose to diverge from the bioweapon narrative to align more closely with the lore of the initial films.

FX's Alien: Earth is set to premiere on Hulu in the summer of 2025. Fans can also look forward to the upcoming Alien: Romulus 2.
