Gameplay:

Using a standard deck (no jokers), the game is dealt completely to the players. The last player holding cards is declared the "Donkey" and loses. The ace of spades starts the game. Players follow suit if possible, playing any value of the lead suit if they have it. If all players play a card of the same suit, the round ends and those cards are discarded. The player with the highest card of that suit leads the next round.

If a player can't follow suit, they play any other card. Play immediately stops, and the player who played the highest card of the lead suit must pick up all played cards and add them to their hand. They then lead the next round. This continues until a single player remains with cards – the Donkey!
